What Is Sovereign Gold Bond?

Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs) is a government scheme that lets you purchase gold in paper/digital format and pays a 2.5% interest on that. However, this article is not to discuss the 'What' - that information is easily available elsewhere, and the RBI website is a good place to begin with. Instead, I've discussed my views on who should invest in SGB and who should not in the article mentioned below:
